When going on a job interview it’s important to look successful. Wearing the right clothes may mean the difference between getting the position or being passed over for someone who looks like a perfect fit. Following are some dos and don’ts when it comes to making a great first impression.
Dressing for a Job Interview
If possible, pay a visit to the establishment before the interview to see how everyone else dresses. Sometimes dressing too formally or too casually can mean losing the chance at getting the job. If there isn't time or an opportunity to check out the other employees or managers, simply dress professionally, like someone who’s on their way up in the world.
Most jobs prefer that employees cover up any tattoos and take out piercings. This may mean wearing long sleeves for those with tattoos on their arms or putting in a clear post instead of a nose ring or lip piercing.
