Two summers ago, a ‘boys night out gone wrong’ and The Hangover turned into one of the biggest (and unexpected) box-office successes of the year. The Wolfpack hit Vegas for a stag party not to be forgotten. The problem was that they went on such a bender that they forgot just about everything – and lost the groom in the process.
Gags, visual and verbal, came thick and fast (albeit male and sophomoric), the bumbling clueless lead characters were, to a greater or lesser extent, endearing or at least not too annoying and the storyline engaging, if for no other reason than the audience could self-identify in part with the situation.
The Hangover II - Bangkok bound
Fast forward two years and we are faced with yet another wedding – only this time it’s Stu, the neurotic dentist. And, as his wife-to-be is the beautiful Lauren from a wealthy Thai family, the wedding is to be at a stunning beach resort in Thailand.
